Building Stronger Families, One Step at a Time

Creating a safe, supportive space for growth and connection.

What to Expect

When you choose to work with us, you can expect a process that meets your family where you are and supports meaningful, sustainable growth—at a pace that’s right for your child and family.
Step 1 — Initial Intake

In person or video intake to learn about your goals and concerns, answer questions, and determine the best next steps for your child, teen, or family.

  • Clarify presenting concerns and desired outcomes

  • Discuss logistics and availability

  • Outline what the first sessions will look like

Step 3 — Therapy Sessions

Sessions are safe, structured, and developmentally appropriate. We help kids and teens build insight and practice skills they can use beyond the session.

We focus on practical tools that promote:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Healthy relationships

  • Positive lifestyle choices

  • Skills for Resilience

Note: Progress varies by child and family. We focus on consistent steps forward, not quick fixes.

Step 2 — Individualized Care Plan

Based on the intake process and our first conversations, we’ll create a care plan tailored to your child or teen’s unique emotional and behavioral needs, while also supporting you in your role as a parent or caregiver.

  • Collaborative goals you can understand and track

  • Age-appropriate approaches (e.g., play-based work, teen skill-building, EMDR when appropriate)

  • Parent involvement plan and at-home support strategies

Step 4 — Collaborative Approach (Parent Partnership)

Healing is strongest when families are supported as a whole.

  • Regular parent check-ins for guidance and feedback

  • Coaching on communication, routines, and boundaries

  • Coordination with schools or other providers when helpful (with your consent)

Step 5 — Confidentiality

Your privacy matters. Information shared in therapy is confidential, with standard legal and ethical exceptions (e.g., safety concerns or mandated reporting requirements).

Step 6 — Progress & Review

We review goals and outcomes at thoughtful intervals, adjust the plan as needed, and celebrate growth—no matter how small.

  • Periodic progress updates

  • Adjustments to strategies or session frequency

  • Clear next steps and transition planning when appropriate
