Meet Trisha Alex M.S., LPC
Trisha is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Parenting Facilitator at Dallas Insight Counseling. She specializes in child-centered play therapy, pre-teen and teen therapy, and provides parent support for families navigating difficult dynamics.
Since beginning her clinical work, Trisha has gained extensive experience helping children and adolescents through play, talk, and activity therapy. She has worked closely with parents navigating divorce and co-parenting challenges, always prioritizing the parent–child relationship as the foundation for healing and growth.
Trisha places a strong emphasis on partnering with parents and guardians throughout the therapeutic process, offering consultation, feedback, and tools that extend beyond the therapy room. She believes that meaningful progress happens when children, teens, and parents are supported together.
Drawing from her cultural and ethnic background, Trisha brings relatability and cultural awareness to her therapeutic approach, especially when working with diverse populations.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2014 and her Master’s in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University in 2018. During her practicum and internship at Denton County Friends of the Family, she worked extensively with children, families, and adult survivors of trauma, particularly those affected by sexual assault and domestic violence. She also led a process group for women who had experienced trauma through domestic violence, providing crisis intervention and ongoing support.
Outside of her professional life, Trisha enjoys expressing herself through art, spending time at the beach, and exploring her love of food by cooking and trying new cuisines. She volunteers regularly at her local church and in her community, where she enjoys giving back and serving others. Most of all, she cherishes time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
