What Parents Are Saying
We were getting constant calls about my son’s outbursts, and I felt helpless. Trisha listened, supported us, and taught skills that actually worked. He asks to check in when he needs it, and the change has been incredible.

“Different house rules were confusing our daughter. The co-parent plan helped us align routines and discipline. Transitions between homes are easier, and she seems more secure.”

My daughter has been working with Trisha for almost 2 years. Trisha has been a consistently positive connection in her life. At her annual wellness visit with her pediatrician this year, my daughter’s anxiety score has improved from moderate to mild and her depression score went from mild to normal! I believe Trisha has definitely helped my daughter find new coping skills and perspective. Trisha has been kind, understanding, and informative during parent consultations as well!
My 7 year old daughter has loved her time with Trisha. Trisha has made a significant impact in helping her reduce her anxiety symptoms and learn to manage her emotions.
Trisha is a talented, insightful and non-judgmental therapist that our ten year old daughter has loved going to for over three years. Our daughter always comes back from her play therapy sessions lighter and more confident. Trisha has helped us as parents to understand and celebrate our daughter’s strengths, and has helped us navigate areas of concerns, including everyday parenting concerns and issues that stem from her chronic health condition and past medical trauma. I highly recommend giving your child the valuable gift of time with Trisha if you think they are struggling with something. It is incredible what children can work through with a skilled play therapist, and Trisha is the best around.

“We felt stuck between being ‘too strict’ or ‘too soft.’ The coaching showed us how to connect first, then correct. Our home is calmer and more respectful.”
Stepdad of 10- and 12-year-olds (Blended Family)
My daughter has done play therapy with Trisha for years and it helps her tremendously to process the ups and downs of life. She is always lighter and more joyful after her play therapy sessions.
Trisha Alex has a rare gift for transforming play into healing. Her ability to make children feel seen, safe, and understood is nothing short of extraordinary. With compassion and creativity, she empowers young hearts to find their voice and strength. Trisha’s impact is lasting, and her work leaves families filled with hope.
“Tantrums ruled our evenings. The program gave us a calm-down routine and words to use in the moment. Bedtime is smoother, and we reconnect after big feelings instead of arguing.”
Mother of a 5-year-old
Trisha was my son's therapist for much of his second and third grade at Rose Haggar elementary school in PISD, North Dallas.
She worked wonders for my son. He was 'that' child, the one who threw chairs in the classroom, had uncontrollable unmanageable anger outbursts both at home and in school. I was at a loss and was getting daily calls at work from his school to talk to him and sometimes to even come pick him up. I was desperate and at a loss.
He was diagnosed with dyslexia which helped immensely, but at his young age, he had to still learn how to deal with his emotions and I don't know how Tricia did it, but she did. She was very calming.
She listened to me before every session, which was also very therapeutic for me.
Eventually my son stopped needing to go to her on a consistent basis, but he'd built so much trust with Tricia, we both had, that when he was having a rough time, he would ask if he could go and see her. She was quick to get him in and one session with her he was feeling better again. Sometimes, even just knowing she was there if he needed her was enough.
He's in 6th grade now, but even in 5th grade, he'd made a complete 180!
Teachers at his school asked me the name of his therapist because they were so impressed with the change and growth he'd made. I could go on with many examples. I was even turned away from a 'leading therapist in Dallas', saying "out of the 100's of kids she'd seen" he was one of the worst, and a mother never forgets that!
I would highly recommend Tricia to anyone needing extra help. It's nothing to be ashamed of. I wish I'd have done it sooner!
