Trisha Alex M.S.,LPC
Trisha is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Parenting Facilitator at Dallas Insight Counseling. With a focus on children aged 3-8, Trisha specializes in child-centered play therapy, believing that self-initiated play allows children to express themselves fully and comfortably, offering a glimpse into their inner world.

Trisha places a strong emphasis on building a close working relationship with the parents and guardians of her young clients, providing consultation, feedback, and guidance throughout the therapeutic process. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is fundamental to the success of therapy. Drawing from her cultural and ethnic background, Trisha brings a layer of relatability and cultural awareness to her therapeutic approach, particularly when working with diverse populations.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2014 and went on to earn her Master's in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman's University in 2016. During her clinical practicum/internship at Denton County Friends of the Family, Trisha worked extensively with children, families, and adult survivors of trauma, particularly those affected by sexual assault and domestic violence. She also led a process group for women who have experienced trauma through domestic violence, providing crisis intervention and support.

Trisha’s areas of interest are anxiety, depression, self-harm, parent-child relationships, trauma through sexual assault and domestic violence, children of divorce, and behavioral issues.
Trisha is committed to advocating for her clients and providing them with the guidance and tools they need to grow and thrive. She looks forward to the opportunity to work with you and your family to achieve lasting positive change.
